TEACHING ENGLISH IN HUNGARY

If you are planning for a teaching carrer then your new teaching journey starts in Hungary. You will find most teaching opportunities in international schools, private language schools, colleges and universities.

In Hungary the academic year starts at the beginning of September and ends in the middle of June. But teachers can be hired year round. While peak hiring periods usually fall in September and January.

To teach English in Hungary, you will first need to have a Bachelor’s degree. Most language schools also can ask for an internationally recognized TEFL certificate.

The average salary for a language teacher can be about $700 to 900 USD or higher at the college or university level.
